Male Model - Chris Downs

Year after year, I promise myself that I will get my six-pack abs back.  I've worked hard in getting in shape but I can't seem to get my abs back.

My gym trainer told me that it's not all about exercising.  It's about eating healthy and that's where my problem lies.  Who's not going to be tempted to eat a slice of cheesecake or two?  Who goes through the holidays without binging?  Ha!

Remote Rights

Guest post from: Constance Rodgers

My recent visit to the directv online to check out direct tv packages which led to a very pleasant surprise. I was able to upgrade my family’s package with just a few clicks. I spent the afternoon making adjustments to our favorites list making sure to take advantage of all the new shows just waiting to be watched. I’m in love with this season’s line up on The Cooking Channel and The Travel Channel. One new one I am very excited about is The Layover. It promises to be a fresh spin on Anthony Bourdain and I’m already a fan so I am excited to see what it’s about. I can already tell we are going to be fighting over television remote rights as soon as the family has time to settle in one afternoon together. Guess this is a good of a time as any to work on our sharing skills. We never have really mastered that one around here. We have a firm understanding it is a first come first serve basis.

Are you ready for 2012?

It's that time of year again. We are going to make our resolutions and we are very excited because we will say to ourselves, "This time, I'm going to keep it!" Okay, okay. Do you still have your list from last year? Were you able to keep it? Things like, I will work out regularly, I will eat properly, etc.

Don't get me wrong. What we promise to do with lifestyle and health are all but good. If we keep it, great. If we don't... well. There's always next year right?

What I've learned as I get wiser (not older... hehe!) is that we should incorporate changes in our lives beyond health and physical changes. I found myself writing in my resolutions list this year, a few things I never incorporated in the past years. Things that I am finding more important now than just physical qualities. Here's one: Am I going to welcome 2012 with a clear conscience and free from all clutter in my mind? What I meant by that is to welcome 2012 with no grudges against anyone, no ill-fillings towards anyone. I find that we move farther in our lives (career and otherwise) if we don't hold grudges. If we let go of all the hurt and stop replaying the images of pain in our minds, we are better prepared to receive more in our future that if we don't. Just think about it. It really makes a lot of sense.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I think it's time...

I have had this blog on since 2007.  There were times that I thought that it was time to move it off of blogger and host my blog somewhere else.  Not that there's anything wrong with but I just found that websites with its own domain are given more opportunities when it comes to advertising and such.

I remember a friend of mine who opened his blog about Louis Vuitton bags.  He loves LV bags and when his blog was received well by the public, a lot of advertisers have contacted him asking him if he would be willing to move his blog off of blogger and host it, they would advertise with him.  I surely don't know the difference as to why advertisers prefer that you have your own domain and host your blog somewhere else.

So, as I was thinking about it today, I looked at web hosting services just to see if it would even be beneficial for me to look into hosting my blog elsewhere.  Although I like the tools provides for their users and how user-friendly it is to post photos and videos, if I can get better advertising from outside companies, I would probably move it out of soon.

This is just a thought right now and I may find later on that I don't have to but if I do, I surely wouldn't want to transfer it to an unreliable hosting service where the site will be down more often than it is up.

But I am seriously considering it.  Wish me luck!

You take care of your body by working out. Don't neglect your skin.

So, are you still full from your Thanksgiving pig out? Ha!

Well, I had a great Thanksgiving dinner at home. I hosted this time for a few buddies of mine who do not have family around the area. There were six of us and it was simply nice and quiet. But, since I had four days with nothing much to do but cook for Thanksgiving and shop on Black Friday, I decided to go with a buddy to get a facial and eye treatment done. It was the greatest Thanksgiving gift I have given to myself.

If you work out religiously, you must really be concerned about the way you look and feel. If nothing else, you should also be concerned about your skin. I have been working out for several years now and I had at times neglected to take care of my skin. I noticed dark circles forming under my eyes and the only thing that worked for me was an ultrasonic treatment. I had it done two years ago while I was traveling but it’s time to get the treatment again. It was advised that I get an eye treatment regularly as regular as every week! I had the treatment done and you can instantly see the dark circles under my eyes lighten up after the first treatment alone.

There are many different treatments for your skin that you should make use of in order for your skin to generate new cells and maintain a youthful look. But it could be expensive. If I go for an eye treatment every week, it would cost me $65.00 each time. So, I started looking for the machine online just to compare the price if I get the machine myself. I found all sorts of machines available on the market including a Baby Quasar LED light therapy. The Photo Facial could be very expensive and probably, if you purchase the machine yourself – it could be paid for with the value several visits to the dermatologist. Just because you work out and your body looks great, doesn’t mean that you have to neglect your skin. Take care of your skin as you do your body. Believe me, you will feel more confident and refreshed.

Happy Sunday Folks! It's time to relax and rest.

I don't know about you folks but for me, Sundays are the best.  It's the best time to sit back and think about nothing.  I usually get up on Sundays, turn my laptop on and read news.  Yes, I read news!  :)
It's just a catch up day.  A day to recover from your hangover, or even catch up on sleep if you stayed out late the night before.  And for some folks, it's time to go and spend that one hour in church.  It works for some!

But Sundays are meant for days just like that.  A day to relax.  Come on, you've stressed out all week from work, you've had your cocktails that you thought would help you forget about work.  Now, it's time to get back to reality and realize that working is a part of life and that tomorrow, you will have to go back and do the same thing over again.

My point?  There's no sense in stressing out about Monday.  Just enjoy your time, watch some TV or even go for a walk (I would go for a walk).  Take your mind off of heavy things and simply relax.  You'll find out that your Mondays are a lot better if you don't stress out about it.

I know.  :)

Have a great week folks!

Male Model - Daniel Rumfelt - Sizzling. Will you work out to look this good?

Working out is such a challenge.  I only get motivated if I see bodies like this one.  Daniel Rumfelt makes me wanna work out six days a week.  Wouldn't you?  Just so you can look that good?   Only if I had the time.  I can only work out three times a week and that's already a stretch.  With two dogs, a full time job and school - there is barely enough time for me to go to the gym.  But I make time.  If I don't, I will feel such a loser next to a guy like Daniel.

Getting Control

Posted by Hyman Weeks

Taking charge of my life was something I decided to do last year. I was fresh off of a divorce and I felt like I was just working myself to the bone in this dead end job and really, I just needed a break. Inspired by the channels I’d been watching through those direct tv deals I got, I decided to travel. I packed up everything I owned an put it in my brother’s basement and with one giant backpack and a one-way ticket to India I set out. It was really a soul changing experience for me and I can’t imagine my life now without having that time to reflect. I was on the road for about 6 months and though I could have stayed out longer I think it was just enough time for me to really come back invigorated and with a new sense of purpose. I now have a job freelancing as an editor and I’m even dating again – things are looking up for me and the life I never knew I’d have!

Drug Rehab stints for Celebrities. Sometimes it works. At times...

I don't understand. Lindsay Lohan is showing many signs that if left untreated and alone, she may end up like Amy Winehouse. With the community service that she is doing at the morgue in California, I wonder if she is really getting it. Drug and alcohol addiction have caused many lives to spiral out of control. But there are enablers out there. Imagine a Playboy shoot for $1 million dollars? Why? Because she is notorious and gets attention?

I really would like her to check into a drug abuse rehab clinic for good until she is ready and well. Sending her to jail isn't going to help much because she will only post bail and get out in two weeks anyway due to the overcrowding in California prisons. So, what's the point?

Why can't she be checked in by her own parents to a reliable and worthy drug abuse rehab center? Is it because she's over 21 years old? That she can do whatever she wants with her life? Is it really that bad for parents or anyone to intervene to save someone's life?

Sometimes I just don't understand. Laws are supposed to protect us. But sometimes laws are the actual things that make people abandon us.

So, let me continue with my Grindr story....

Yes folks, my story isn't finished yet.  The Grindr experiment continues.

Did you know that there are guys out there who actually are partnered but are still on Grindr?  Not only that their partners allow them to, their partners are sometimes involved as well.  I just don't get that.

Then, there are these people who are just online to have a virtual relationship.  No hookups they say and no strings attached.  But then again, how can you not?

So, my buddy who is doing this experiment tells me daily stories of his encounters.  He gets phone numbers all the time.  And I don't even know how he keeps up with them but he does.

One interesting story was about a guy who actually fell in love with my buddy.  How can that be?  One time meeting and that's it... then, you'd say you fell in love?  On Grindr?   I don't get it.

An experiment. It was a fun experiment but the results were confusing but true.

Have you ever heard of Grindr?  Of course you have.  It is a gay App for hooking up.  You know how hard it is to meet people out there and gays like me and my friends find every way to meet that perfect someone.

One of my friends created an experiment on Grindr.  He posted a photo (not his) and pretended that it was him.  The guy was perfect, of course.

The premise of the experiment is to find out if people will really fall in love and be interested in a person regardless of how he looked.  We all know that gay men are the hardest to please when it comes to looks and even though they would always say that looks don't matter in love, it does matter a lot.

Story continues below.....

So, every time he would open his Grindr App, there would be about 50 messages from people who would like to chat. (Read: Hook Up)  He would talk to them.  Some would bore him to death and he will block the person or gently tell him that he's not his type.

This went on for about a week.  He met so many people (not physically obviously).

But, then he met this one person who peaked his interest.  The person was also taken aback by my friend's personality and they hit it off pretty quickly.

Brazilian Male Model - Marlon Texeira - When can I retire in Brazil?

Why I haven't moved to Brazil yet is the big question.  And how does Brazil produce so many goodlooking men is another big question.

Could you blame me?

I have been to Brazil three times now - every year since 2009 - and I am not tired of it yet. I don't think I will ever get tired of Brazil.
